<p>Discover Scuba Diving is the usual starting point for anyone who wants to know whether diving is for them before committing to a full course. It doesn't lead to a certification. What it gives you instead is a real dive, with an instructor managing the technical side so you can focus on the experience itself.</p><p>You'll start with a short briefing on the few things you need to know — how to breathe through a regulator, how to clear your mask, how to equalise as you descend. Then you get in the water. The instructor stays with you the whole time, and the dive happens at a depth and pace that suit a first-timer. All the equipment is provided and fitted for you beforehand.</p><p>The experience takes a single day and is open to anyone aged 10 or older who can swim and is in good general health. Plenty of people feel a little apprehensive at the surface; most of that tends to fade within the first few minutes underwater.</p>
Advanced Level
<p>The next certification after Open Water Diver. It extends your depth limit and builds experience across a range of dive types through five guided dives.</p>
Advanced Level
<p>A first aid and CPR course covering primary and secondary care. It works as a general life skill in its own right. It is also the required prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course.</p>
Advanced Level
<p>A course focused on preventing, recognising, and managing dive emergencies. It shifts your attention outward — from your own diving to looking after a buddy and a group.</p>
